2021 Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt (photos)

The 2021 set features low production vehicles randomly hidden within other series. To identify a Treasure Hunt you must find the low production symbol. It can be found on the car and sometimes on the card, behind the car.

Baja Bone Shaker

Baja Bone Shaker is 28/250 in the mainline set, 1/5 in the Holiday Racers series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is black with orange & green flames and graphics.

A jack-o’-lantern with “Treasure Haunt” and “1031” decorates the sides. The Hot Wheels logo is on the roof and “2020” along with the low production symbol is on the hood. The car has a chrome interior, orange off-road wheels with black skull details, and a blue plastic Malaysia base.

This vehicle can be found in mix “A” of 2021 Hot Wheels mainline cases.

The Baja Bone Shaker made its debut in the 2013 HW Stunt – Desert Force series. It is an off-road version of the Bone Shaker that features a skull grille and skeleton-hand headlight casings.

Street Wiener

GTC84 is 41/250 in the mainline set, 2/5 in the Fast Foodieseries, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It features a yellow bun and a brown hotdog detailed with ketchup and mustard stripes.

A black grill is in the back and a “Speed Dog” graphic with the Hot Wheels logo and the low production symbol decorate the sides. The car has a yellow interior, red AeroDisc wheels with yellow rims, and an unpainted metal Malaysia base.

The Street Wiener made its debut in the 2017 HW City Worksseries. It is an original design of a hotdog-themed vehicle with a spatula in the front and a barbecue grill in the back.

Custom '77 Dodge Van

GTC88 is 65/250 in the mainline set, 4/10 in the HW Art Cars series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It features a Jack of Hearts graphic on the sides and a playing card design on the roof. “Dodge” and “HW Art Cars” is on the doors. 

The low production symbol is in the halberd and the Hot Wheels logo is held in the Jack’s hand. The van has red tinted windows, a black interior, 5-spoke wheels with red chrome rims, and a black plastic Malaysia base.

The Custom ’77 Dodge Van made its debut in the 2008 New Models series. It was previously a Treasure Hunt in 2013 and 2015.

Motosaurus

GTC90 is 93/250 in the mainline set, 4/5 in the Dino Ridersseries, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is light green decorated with wavy green stripes outlined in dark green.

Low production symbols are between the stripes and the Hot Wheels logo is above the rear wheel. The head and vertical plates are orange and the Malaysia base is dark green. The dark green RA6 wheels have green chrome rims.

The Motosaurus made its debut in the 2017 Street Beastsseries. It is an original design of a dinosaur-themed car that resembles a Stegosaurus.

Skull Shaker

The Skull Shaker is 103/250 in the mainline set, 9/10 in the Experimotors series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is light purple detailed with yellow & orange flames outlined in purple.

The Hot Wheels logo and the low production symbol can be found on the sides near the flames. The driver is plum, the engine and pipes are chrome, and the 5-spoke wheels have white rims. It has a Malaysia base.

The Skull Shaker made its debut in the 2018 Experimotorsseries. It is an original design of a hot rod with an oversized head sticking out of the roof. The head moves side to side as the vehicle rolls.

Tred Shredder

GTC92 is 136/250 in the mainline set, 5/5 in the HW Daredevils series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is blue decorated with grey, white, and black graphics.

“TR Shredder”, “40”, and the low production symbol detail the sides. The motorcycle has black handlebars, off-road wheels with blue chrome rims, and an unpainted metal Malaysia base.

Deora II

GTC97 is 144/250 in the mainline set, 5/5 in the HW Dream Garage series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is blue detailed with light blue and white graphics.

A large Hot Wheels flame along with the low production symbol decorates the sides. The car has tinted windows, a chrome interior, PR5 wheels with chrome rims, and a black plastic Malaysia base.

Mustang Funny Car

GTC94 is 156/250 in the mainline set, 10/10 in the HW Race Day series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is grey decorated with pale blue, light grey, and orange graphics.

A large Hot Wheels logo decorates the sides and the hood. A variety of logos are also on the hood and the rear wing. The low production symbol can be found on the roof and the sides. The funny car has blue tinted windows, a chrome interior, 5-spoke wheels with gold chrome rims, and a black plastic Malaysia base.

Chrysler Pacifica

GTC89 is 165/250 in the mainline set, 10/10 in the HW Metroseries, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is white decorated with red, yellow, and blue graphics.

A Michelin Man logo is on the hood and a HW Tire Shop emblem is on the sides. The Hot Wheels logo, “Hot Wheels Racing”, and “Michelin” are also on the sides. The low production symbol can be found on the hood and sides. The minivan has blue tinted windows, a black interior, BAJA5 wheels with grey rims, and a grey plastic Malaysia base.

'91 Mazda MX-5 Miata

GTC93 is 190/250 in the mainline set, 10/10 in the Then and Now series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is red with white double stripes on top and stripes on the sides.

“Mazda” is on the trunk and “MX-5” and the Hot Wheels logo are on the sides. The low production symbol can be found on the rear quarter panels. The roadster has a tinted windshield, black interior, lace wheels with white rims, and a black plastic Malaysia base.

Ollie Rocket

GTC91 is 199/250 in the mainline set, 5/5 in the HW Spaceseries, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is black with red, white, and blue graphics.

“Asteroid Interceptor” is featured on the sides along with the Hot Wheels logo and the low production symbol. The bullet car has a blue interior, white Open-Hole 5-Spoke wheels with black rims, and a gold chrome plastic Malaysia base.

1978 Dodge Li'l Red Express Truck

GTC95 is 212/250 in the mainline set, 5/10 in the HW Hot Trucks series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is metalflake green detailed with yellow and gold stripes and graphics.

“Dodge” is on the hood and the Hot Wheels logo is on the doors. “Goodyear” and the low production symbol can be found on the rear fenders. The pickup has clear windows, a black interior, Retro Slot wheels with gold chrome rims, and a chrome plastic Malaysia base.

Justice League Batmobile

GTC85 is 220/250 in the mainline set, 5/5 in the Batmanseries, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. The vehicle is black embellished with yellow details and accents.

The low production symbol can be found on the top behind the cockpit. It has yellow tinted windows, a grey interior, RA6 wheels with yellow rims, and a black plastic Malaysia base.

'65 Ford Galaxie

GTC98 is 240/250 in the mainline set, 8/10 in the Muscle Mania series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is yellow decorated with black stripes.

“427 C.I.” is on the hood and a red “21” if featured on the roof and doors. The sides are embellished with “Ford” as well as logos for Goodyear, Edelbrock, and others. Also on the sides are the Hot Wheels logo and the low production symbol. The car has clear windows, a black interior, 8-Spoke Deep Dish wheels, and a chrome plastic Malaysia base.

Lamborghini Countach Police Car

GTC86 is 247/250 in the mainline set, 10/10 in the HW Rescue series, and a 2021 Treasure Hunt. It is white decorated with orange and blue graphics and stripes.

“Emergency” is on the front and sides. Also on the sides are the Hot Wheels logo and the low production symbol. The car has blue tinted windows, AeroDisc wheels with grey rims, and a black plastic Malaysia base.
