A HUGE thank you to Point Loma Presbyterian Community Church Preschool for teaming up with us and having a food drive during the month of November. So far we have been able to bless The Care House with food for homeless children and this month we also partnered with TJ housebuilding and sent 12 boxes of clothes, shoes, hygeine packages and food to 3 families who were so appreciative, one of the ladies started crying because she was so overwhelmed with joy. check out the pics at http://www.facebook.com/tj.housebuilding#!/album.php?aid=25563&id=100001198632520
Thank you all so much for your donations!!! Please bring your used/new clothes, food and hygeine products at the launch pad or email jolenebomb@yahoo.com

Did you know that there are about 2000 homeless                children in San Diego?
The Rock Homeless Ministry is teaming up with Care House Life Ministries in an ongoing effort to provide for the needs of San Diego's homeless children.
What can you do to help? Please bring the following items to The Launch Pad and place them in the bin allocated for The Homeless Ministry:
We have recently teamed up with PIVOT and were able to bless them with three boxes of infant clothing and daipers. ( https://www.sdrock.com/ministries/pivot/ Pivot provides an opportunity to discuss religious topics as it relates to how religion could influence our decision-making.) Some of these students are teen mom's who struggle to provide for their children and could use help with diapers, wipes, diaper cream, and other baby items.
We were also able to bless The Monarch School of San Diego (http://www.monarchschools.org/) with 8 boxes of clothes for children from 4 - 18 years of age. The Monarch school provides an accredited education to homeless and at-risk kids while caring for basic needs such as healthcare, food, clothing and personal hygiene. Your help can make a difference. They are in need of new/gently used clothes, umbrella's, jackets, socks, underwear, undershirts, target/payless shoes gift cards, full sized hygiene products. Please drop your donations at the Launch Pad. If you wish to donate gift cards please contact jolenebomb@yahoo.com
Here are some more things that you can do to help:

Directions to the launchpad - https://www.sdrock.com/ministries/recycling/launchpad/
-Â You can collect travel size and regular size toiletries from your friends and neighbors; ask them for all those hotel type toiletries that they've been collecting over the years. Spring clean under your bathroom sink! We need loads of toiletries to put the packages together.
- You can ask dentists for toothbrushes and toothpaste, we can use adult and kids size toothbrushes.
- You can ask doctors or dermatologists for any types of samples, like alcohol wipes, band aids, sani wipes, soaps and lotions.
- You can ask hotels for their used bottles (they can collect them over a week's period and you can pick them up - we will then fill them), if they are willing to give us a few of their unused bottles that would be awesome!  We have a letter to give to them so please contact me if you would like to help in this area.
- You can take a box to your local school or child's school and ask them to collect items for the homeless.
As you make progress in any of these areas please let me know, so we can connect and move forward. Also, if something seems to be working for you, please share so we can pass it on.
Thanks again for giving your time to help others!!! If you have any questions, please contact me at jolenebomb@yahoo.com
