UPDATE FROM A ROCK CHAPLAIN SERVING ON THE GROUND WITH CRISIS RESPONSE INTERNATIONAL (MARCH 29, 2022)

The whole ministry team is back in Poland as of March 29 for a re-group. Today we drove to a music store and bought a new guitar to give to a 12-year old boy named Ruslan; he accepted Jesus into his heart back at the refugee center. Whenever we worshiped he was there and he knew how to play a little. Also, several team members went to Laviv where there was a missile strike and picked up a couple with two kids and a new born and brought them to Poland.

This is Danny with the new guitar and the boy is Ruslan.

UPDATE FROM A ROCK CHAPLAIN SERVING ON THE GROUND WITH CRISIS RESPONSE INTERNATIONAL (MARCH 26, 2022)

We heard about the attack on Lviv. All is well here in Stryi. We have heard a warning siren every day but no bombs have fallen anywhere near where we are. We continue to build relationships with the staff as well as the refugees. There are 16 of us living here at the center; 3 doctors several nurses and a mixture of people from all over the US. Today the doctors held a medical clinic and the rest of us helped out with a "speaking club" aka English lessons. We had several wonderful translators to help us out. It was a lot of fun and the Ukrainians were enthusiastic and excited to learn and practice english."The Speaking Club" Aka English lessons.

UPDATE FROM A ROCK CHAPLAIN SERVING ON THE GROUND WITH CRISIS RESPONSE INTERNATIONAL (MARCH 22, 2022)

Wow, we just visited a center that houses 150 men women and children. We met a woman that is due to give birth in 2 weeksand another older lady that is suffering from a stroke and can't walk. We were fortunate enough to meet the mayor, who was touring the center as well. We also met two pastors that oversee the center. One of the pastors, Eugene, asked us to join him for coffee. He shared his amazing life story of growing up on the streets because every person in his family was in prison. From the age of 5 he lived on the street and then went to live in a orphanage. He was told by his family to live a life of crime because that is what they do. He got into drugs and gangs but in an effort to not follow in the foot steps of his parents, he got a job in construction as a young man. He noticed that after work everyone would drink except one guy that was different. That guy would leave work instead of drinking with the rest of the guys. Eugene asked him one day where he was going. The guy said he was going to church. Eugene asked if he could go with him. He went and eventually got saved. That was 15 years ago and that is the reason he has a heart to serve God and man. Eugene is now married with 4 children and owns or owned his own IT company.
