While “sin” and “the devil” aren’t exactly popular conversation points in contemporary culture, it is incredibly important that the Church maintains a well-developed and biblical perspective on these topics. The book of Ephesians instructs us to throw off our old selves, which have been corrupted through disordered desires (Eph. 4:22), and to “put on the whole armor of God that [we] may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Eph. 6:11).”
