Santa Ysabel Hike 'n Pie Event

Join us as we journey to the Santa Ysabel Nature Center Loop Trail for a hike 'n pie event! We’ll meet at the Santa Ysabel Nature Center at 8:45 a.m. and embark on a 4-mile hike through the preserve. We'll stop at the halfway point and do worship in the middle of God's creation. Hike starts at 9 a.m. sharp.

This hike is moderate-to-difficult with some hills. Elevation gain is 662 feet at an altitude of 3,511 feet. Please self-evaluate your fitness and hiking levels before attempting this hike. You are welcome to hike at your own pace. However, if you fall behind the group, it is your responsibility to complete the hike.

Afterwards, we’ll go to the Julian Pie Co. for lunch and pie. Dudley's Bakery is next door.

What to Expect:  

•  Difficulty: Moderate-difficult at an altitude of 3,511 feet
• Travel time from San Diego approximately an hour
•  Highlight: Great views of the Santa Ysabel Valley
•  Distance: 4 miles (round trip)
•  Elevation Gain: 662 feet
•  Hiking Time: approximately 2.5 hours
•  Dogs on leash permitted
•  Weather: Hike may be cancelled due to extreme weather.
•  Restrooms: Available at the Santa Ysabel Nature Center

 What to bring? 

• Good running or hiking shoes
• Comfortable clothing, bring layers as the temperature will change
• Hat or visor
• Hiking Poles (optional)
• Water (at least 1 liter recommended)
• Snacks
