Tecolote Canyon Hike

Join the Rock Church Hiking Ministry community as our Summer Adventure Series continues with a journey through Tecolote Canyon! Afterwards, we'll grab a meal and continue fellowship.

This 4+-mile hike is moderate with inclines and is rocky in places. Please self-evaluate your fitness and hiking levels before attempting this hike.

You must sign the Rock Church waiver form to participate in this hike.

Meet at 4:30 p.m. The adventure begins at 4:45 p.m., so please arrive on time.

Itinerary

•  Difficulty: Moderate, with some inclines and can be rocky in places
•  Highlight: View of Tecolote Golf Course
•  Distance: 4 miles (Round trip)
•  Elevation Gain: 396 feet
•  Hiking Time: approximately 2.5 hours
•  Dogs (on leash) permitted
•  Weather: Prepare for summer temperatures
• Bathrooms: Available at the Tecolote Community Park

 What to bring?

• Good running or hiking shoes, the trail is rocky and slippery in places
• Comfortable clothing, bring layers as it may get cool
• Hat or visor
• Hiking Poles (optional)
• Water (at least 1 liter recommended)
• Snacks 
• Headlamp or flashlight
