The Hiking Ministry’s second October adventure takes us to Los Penasquitos Canyon County Preserve. The 6.2-mile journey will be a fun time of hiking, fellowship and worship. There is also a really cool waterfalls at the halfway point!
This hike is rated as moderate. Please self-evaluate your hiking and fitness levels before going on this hike. You are welcome to hike at your own pace, however, if you fall behind or turn back early, it is your responsibility to complete the hike.
There is a $3 day-use parking fee at the entrance to Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve.
No carpool for this hike.

Dogs: Permitted on leash
Children: Good hike for children, but could be long
Bathrooms: There are porta-potties at the trailhead
Hike will be cancelled if there are extreme weather conditions
WHAT TO BRING?
Good running or hiking shoes
Sunscreen (there is little shade)
Comfortable clothing, wear layers as it will cool down
Hat or visor
Hiking Poles (optional)
Water (1.5 liters recommended)
Salty snacks and electrolytes
