Pastoral crisis intervention presents the spiritual, physiological, emotional, and mental responses to stress, grief, and trauma and how to respond in a manner of compassionate care. This course is for chaplains, pastoral counselors, mental health professionals, and anyone interested in using basic biblical and pragmatic resources to come alongside people in a time of need should find this course of interest.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: Describe the stages of spiritual development; Understand Theodicy; Discuss the principles of spiritual first-aid; and basic suicide intervention strategies. Completion of “Pastoral Crisis Intervention-2” and receipt of a certificate indicating full attendance (13 Contact Hours) qualifies as a class in ICISF’s Certificate of Specialized Training Program.
